Phoenix-based Milagro Senior Pet Refuge Inc. was founded in 1998, incorporated and designated by the IRS as a 501C3 non-profit charitable organization in 2004. Milagro is a small but dedicated project devoted to the rescue of abandoned senior pets in damaged and fragile health. Through no fault of their own, these older pets find themselves tragically discarded and facing an uncertain future. Milagro finds these sweet seniors and brings them home to stay, to be treated with the love they deserve and as the precious gifts they are. Milagro does not board the seniors in a shelter-type facility; we’re a collection of caring, pre-approved guardians providing peaceful, loving home environments where the seniors are safe and treasured for the remainder of their twilight years.

Please Support Our Efforts. Milagro relies on goodwill donations by the public. The level of care we can give the seniors is directly impacted by the help we receive from caring folks who believe in what we’re doing. For your convenience, Milagro offers PayPal.  Visit our Donate Page for easy giving options.

You can also visit the Founder’s companion BareFootPets.com blog for tips, articles, and encouragement on how to best care for your beloved pets of any age, along with a small line of pet products for sale.

Warm Wishes and God Bless,

About the Founder:

Jeannie has been pro-actively involved in pet rescue all of her life, from childhood. She founded Milagro Senior Pet Refuge© (Phoenix) in 1998, and BareFootPets™ in 2008. She says, “Animal welfare has always been and will always be my heart’s work. If my only legacy is that I save a handful of precious souls that would not survive otherwise, I’m good with that.”

Dear God, bless these precious lives you’ve placed in our care. And please be especially loving to those poor souls who never do find help in this life.”  ~ J. Fisher | Founder Milagro Senior Pets 1998
